Can Only Change So Much
Having energy is a weird thing at least for me. I am not a Type A person. I've battled periods of low energy without a known medical cause. I do have my moments of energy bursts. I even fool myself into believing I have changed but reality always comes into view. I contemplated making a few changes as I alluded to in an earlier post then things went into a different direction which is okay. Anyway now I'm trying out longer hours in the office but going in fewer days. Sunday I spent a fair amount of time getting organized for the week. I had my google task lists going for the days I worked and the days I was at home adding in an exercise routine everyday. Monday - Wednesday I got an amazing amount of things accomplished especially considering a lot tax stuff is due for work at the end of this month. I was feeling pretty proud then early Wednesday evening I fell asleep on our couch. I could have crawled into bed, slept for 12 hours and still felt tired. Today I'm back on track with my list. I am reminded I am who I am. I certainly will continue to strive for improvement but cannot overhaul the total package!

I was reading in a magazine just last night about trying to change too much all at once. It was related to weight loss and New Years resolutions, but could apply to any goals. It basically said that taking itty-bitty baby steps *always* works better than trying to make drastic changes all at once. In the case of losing weight, it said something along the lines of "instead of committing to exercise 5 times a week, just commit to walking to the mailbox each day", and build from that.
I printed some "Daily Dockets" from http://simplemom.net/tools/downloads (I got the smaller version). The lady that created them recommends only having 3 "Most Important Things" on your list each day. I haven't started using them yet (keep forgetting to take them home from work). I wonder if I could create a Google list that's similar, since I like all my stuff as techy as possible. ;)
