If you've followed my blog about my struggles with my children and their rooms, you know I don't like clutter. Periodically I like to go through the house and donate or throw away items we are not using or are in bad shape. I was surprised a few months ago to see we still had our (maybe 10 year old?) juicer. We had used it for a while then it was pushed in the back of a cabinet.
I try to eat healthy incorporating my fruits and veggies. With what I have been going through recently, some times solid food was just not appealing to me. I already had been using our Magic Bullet a lot for smoothies but certain fruits don't work well and I needed vegetables, too. Then I found our juicer. Throwing in vegetables (some I've grown!) may not sound appetizing to you. I find when combined with fruit, the fruit taste is much more noticeable than the vegetables. For me, it is too much sugar to have fruit only.
Anyway, it has been nice finding purpose again for something we already had and not spending additional money. All the juicing by products find a home in my compost bin.

That's awesome. Find your comfort wherever you can.
We have an ice cream maker in the back of a cupboard, from when I thought that would be a great idea because my husband used to eat a lot of ice cream. Health concerns since then have stopped us from eating a pint every night (obvious reasons), and I wonder if we'll ever find a use for it again.
