Several things:
The garden didn't take off quite as I had hoped. I did make more progress this year so I guess it is a step in the right direction. I'm game to continue next year. Actually the grape tomatoes did quite well. I usually ate them right off the vine. They rarely made it into the house. The roma and regular tomatoes are coming along slowly. I have several green ones waiting to ripen up. The topsy turvy has produced some tomatoes - not many and they take forever to get ripe. The banana peppers and bell peppers did okay. I got a few okra. Nothing came of my squash and cucumbers. As I've said before I believe I need to plant earlier and in a sunnier location.
My daughter got braces today. It's sad not being able to share that milestone with Mom.
Food - I got a few emails asking how the healthy eating was coming along. Not a lot has changed but I'm open to being flexible. I've avoided overly processed and sugar loaded foods for the most part. I've had a little dairy in the form of cheese. I think there have been some benefits from cutting back on meat and milk and incorporating more whole grains. I'm taking this bite by bite. We will see what if any long term changes will be made.

Hey, I'd say you had a pretty good garden if you had all that stuff!! My romas are mostly green too. Tell C to enjoy those braces and don't eat any lollipops - trust me!
I gave up on growing tomatoes, because I never got enough to cook anything with. Just enough to eat off the vine, like you said. I think if it rained here in the summer I'd be more willing to try, but with our stupid drought, I don't want to keep watering plants when it's just as easy to buy wonderful tomatoes at the Farmers' Market.
