Husband, daughter and I went camping this weekend while our son was at football camp. The trip started out a little rough when we arrived at Hanging Rock State Park Friday. The campground was full. We went to another one nearby which was a little more "primitive" but we still had fun nevertheless. We are tent campers. Pretty basic. Our daughter got to work on her jiffy pop skills. During the cold football games, she's known for making jiffy pop using a small portable propane space heater. This weekend she popped over the campfire the first night and a charcoal grill the second. S'mores are her favorite treat and the reason she camps. Our menu consisted of the always easy to fix hotdogs Friday night with the more difficult beef kabobs and corn on the cob Saturday. Breakfasts consisted of eggs, bacon and toast. It's really all about the food.

MMM I can taste the smores now! Hey next time you go try cheese dogs (where the cheese is inside the hot dog). They are delicious cooked over a campfire. Sounds like you had a good time :)
Beautiful - and food tastes better outdoors!
