To sum up life in suburbia: I was sitting out on the deck getting a little sun on my arms because I'm wearing a sleeveless shirt to this dinner I'm going to tonight. I had my camera and saw this guy slither by:
i have almost that same photo of a snake in my yard last week! my cat was chasing it but when i went out to take the photo the cat just walked over top of the snake several times and never even noticed it-- doofus
Oh, that's suburbia bordering on rural to me. Then again, we're in a city (suburb that calls itself a city) and we've seen deer, possums, hawks, and raccoons, so I guess nature is wherever it can manage, huh?

I hate snakes. The photo reminds me of when I lived and Tennessee and those things popped up all the time, deadly ones too.
