Sights from the Past and Present - Taken the Same Day

First Presbyterian Church

This church is downtown in our old neighborhood. When I am in the area, I try to remember to take pictures. We bought our first house and lived near this church for almost 8 years. While I love many things about living where we do now - straddling the suburbs and rural landscape, I miss parts of being near downtown. Most of all, I miss the walks. There are beautiful old houses and churches to see. On the flip side here is a rather fuzzy picture of one of three deer I saw out my back window. Something I would not have seen at my old house:

Oh Deer

Very cool church!

I remember watching them film scenes from the third Hellraiser movie. Sitting around the church on the sidewalk drinking beer. It was really cool watching them blow up downtown Greensboro (Elm St) at 4 in the morning!

That is a beautiful church..or is it a cathedral? I don't really know the difference.

Nice shot of the deer, too.

Awww, I grew up in a very rural area and miss seeing the wildlife: deer, turkey, baby fox... Although I did see my first coyote right after we moved into the close-in suburbs!! Not the same warm, fuzzy feeling :)
