Animal Instincts
Friday I took Chloe to the vet for her shots. After a failed attempt (my forearms torn up) in September, she went into her new carrier without a hitch. The visit went fine. After being home a few hours, I guess the soreness and/or effects of the medicines kicked in. Poor Chloe sat on our bed on my Cabo Mexican blanket for 36 hours straight - no food, no bathroom breaks and no purring. She was doing what she needed to do. Animals know their bodies unlike my family members who will continue to eat while their stomach aches. Good news - Chloe woke me up this morning indicating it was breakfast time. Her old self had returned.

Cats do not like going to the Vets. I know it takes my Lilly at least a full day to recover and associate with me again. Glad you were woken up, breakfast time is a must!
Love the cat carrier. I always wrap her is a towel, not a good way to travel.
XXXX
Glad to see Chloe is healthy and recovered! I'm ashamed to say Beefcake hasn't been to the vets in a looooong time.
Poor thing. Maggie gets like that too. They've started giving her an extra shot to help with the sicky feeling she gets. D will be proud to hear that you were able to get her in the carrier with no problems.
Poor thing, but a very good lesson! Kimber isn't too fond of the vet, but she likes car rides and doesn't seem to need a long recovery period. Maybe that's because she likes to cuddle all night/every night no matter how she's feeling. Barley, on the other hand, thinks she's heading to visit her best friend. Good thing, since we're there so often!!
36 hours in one place is a long time. Glad Chloe is doing better - sometimes I wonder if all those shots are worth it.
awwww, poor Chloe. But at least she's back to her old self now...Whew!
did you guys get much snow? I can't believe schhol was cancelled for Rae LAST NIGHT, before it had even started to snow!!!
Aw....it's almost time for the boys to get their annual shots, too! Ely wouldn't let me out the door this morning until I fed him. They can be quite demanding eh?
